I really liked this book. It was a good follow-up to the first book in the series. This is a cozy mystery series but it has enough depth to make me care about the characters and to really enjoy the stories. There are quite a few typos which is unfortunate but I was able to get past them without being too distracted. I will read the next book in the series.Product details

Fascinating read! Sure, it's somewhat lighthearted, romantic, and sleuthy, but there is this whole concept of being in two or more time spaces at once. The publisher's blurb gives the basic clues, and spoilers would be a disservice to both author and reader. You can't regret buying this one!
Natalie Duke does fantastic at audio interpreting, and adds to an already addicting tale.
In Harlow's second adventure, she witnesses the discovery of human remains during construction of a course for a mud run competition. She then makes friends with the ghost of one of the deceased, and tries to get to the bottom of this mystery while also trying to straighten out the mess she found herself in at the end of the last book. After being caught in a burning lighthouse, and running in the muddy race, will she be able to outsmart the murderer while keeping in control of her powers? There's only one way to find out...read this book!
Book 2 in the Torrent Witches sees Harlow interacting with a ghost much more than before; a little girl ghost with a very short term memory to be precise. I really didn't know what to expect from this book and was pleasantly surprised.
The more I read these books, the less like Lee's series they become.
Jack is very cute and Harlow's reactions to him are even cuter. I normally like it when the romance has a bigger part of the storyline, but in these books I find myself so caught up in the mystery that I'm actually more interested in that than the romance.
I really wanted her to be able to help Holly and to figure out what was happening on the island. I really enjoyed Harlow's 'slips' in this book, it's such a cool power (well, reading about it is, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want it for myself, but that's half the fun... enjoying something in someone else's life!). This was a good follow-up to the first book and definitely got me interested in what's going to happen next!
"Treasure Witch" by Tess Lake is the second book in the "Torrent Witches" series. Harlow Torrent is feeling a little bit like a witch out of time. For six weeks she stood frozen next to her grandmother in their family's run down manor. But this slip witch knows that she has to keep going and act like nothing happened when she steps back into her role as a self employed online reporter for her website. Getting back into the swing for things, she attempts to cover a mud race taking place in town. Although as things get a bit tense when the remains of an adult and child turn up as the course is being constructed. Harlow would love to let the police solve the murder mystery, but when the ghost of the young girl makes herself known, Harlow knows she has to help her find peace.
Slipping into visions of the past, Harlow has to balance her paper, her family's craziness, the ghosts she's helping, and a possible new love interest without going crazy.
Overall, I enjoyed this novel more than the first one. The pacing was better, and Lake was able to jump right into the plot. I also enjoyed how Harlow was able to see the distant past along with her own.
3 1/2 stars. This is a fun series. I'll be reading more.
Good series...I read this one and then bought the others in the series and look forward to more. It has the usually quota of editing and grammar errors but overall a very good read. Give it a try.
I love gouls and goblens and witches, oh my ! My alltime favorite is agood mystery with humor and fear and a little family drama, now add a little romance and a happy ending or not? Cant wait for number 3 in the series.
